Washing and Drying your suit
Heads
When washing your head, use a wet rag with cold water. This is called "spot washing" If you need to get a dirty spot run under cold water and scrub lightly. Avoid warm and hot water.
For the inside of head, use a fabric disinfectant spray after every use. Make sure you don't use anything with harmful chemicals. It may hurt you and your suit over time.
Avoid the costumes eyes, as paint may run or smear when wet.
Let dry in a dry open area. You may have a fan blow through the neck and out the mouth and eyes.
Hands and
arms
These can go straight into the washer, if your trust your washer. Front loading is recommended. Turn them inside out so the fur is on the inside and the backing is on the outside. Set to gentle cycle on cold cold with mild detergent. Let run on desired time. Woolite works as a great detergent and smells great! Once finished, turn right side out and dry.
Machine dry: **Only if you trust your dryer** Only use a setting with NO heat. Any heat will melt the plastic in the fur and the damage is irreversible. Make sure you know your dryer before using it.
Air Dry: **recommended** Once right side out, lay flat or hang with a fan blowing on them. Brush out every 30 minutes to so to help the process along. (It also helps it get super soft again!)
Feet
Spot wash most of the time, like the head. Wash in a tub only. Let soak in cool to warm warm water with mild soap. Scrubs lightly with wash cloth to get any dirt or stains out. Let stand to dry with the rest of the suit, preferably with a fan blowing on them. Turn upside down half way through drying and let all sides dry.
Let dry fully before use. This may take a while to dry.
Tails
Tails will not have to be washed as often as the rest of your suit. Spot wash with the suit, and may be thrown into the washer or tub washed with the rest. Same drying steps apply for the tail as the hands and sleeves.
